Bio

Atto IV is a project that starts in 2003, with Valerio Rizzotti (guitars, vocals), Alex Oliveri (keyboards), Sergio Gasparini (drums), Sebastiano Pinnarò (bass).
Their first recording is a four-tracks-EP titled "Stati Alterati", which is released in December and is positively reviewed by the most important Italian webzines and magazines. The national radio Radio1 RAI broadcasts the CD, considering Atto IV at the same level of historical Italian prog bands, like PFM and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso.

In 2005, after having replaced Sergio Gasparini with Christian Marino on drums, Atto IV releases their first full-lenght album "A parte" (Videoradio). Enthusiastic attentions come from Italy, Germany, Japan, United States, Canada, France; prog-radios, webzines and newspapers broadcast and fully promote the band.

In 2006 they open the Italian dates for Tony Levin, during his World Tour.

After some years of stand by, ATTO IV are back in 2010 with a new line up: Valerio Rizzotti (guitars, vocals), Christian Moro (keyboards), Francesco Fabris (drums), Nicolò Colombo (bass).

In 2011 the new album "Shattered lines" (Galileo Records) is released worldwide.

Following the example of Robert Fripp with King Crimson, Atto IV are not a "band" in the traditional sense of the term, but they are more an open project, "A way of doing things" (cit. Fripp); a group of musicians who want to freely express themselves without limits.
